Elementary Students in Honduras

I offer personalized tutoring, private lessons and other educational services in English and Spanish for students and life-long learners of all ages. I offer services face to face in the Asheville, NC area and online via Skype and Google Docs. 

I specialize in:
-Spanish and English (ESL) reading, writing, grammar and conversation.
-K-6 core academic subject areas (Language Arts, Social Studies, Math and Science) 
-Skills for academic success in research and writing.
-Personal and cultural enrichment through arts, crafts, cooking and hand drumming.

I bring to the table hundreds of hours of tutoring experience and a genuine passion for learning and teaching. I recognize that every learner is unique. I work with my clients to identify resources and develop strategies to achieve their personal learning objectives. I draw upon diverse methodologies to customize tutoring and lessons to each client's needs and learning preferences. 

My rates are highly competitive, beginning at $15/hour for tutoring and $20/hour for lessons. Group rates are also available. I  am in the process of developing classes and educational events for the near future, so please check back frequently for the latest news.

Who is Mr. Jack?

I am a dedicated, professional tutor with a B.A. in Sociology with a concentration in Anthropology. I graduated with a 3.9 GPA (4.0 point scale). In addition to my major, I have 30 credit hours of college/university courses in Spanish and have taken electives in Elementary Education. I regularly travel in Latin America and stay engaged with the local Spanish-speaking community through volunteering and activism.
